Experience

Environment reporter – July 2013 to Present
As the first environment reporter for the daily newspaper serving Skagit County, Wash., I report on a wide variety of topics including natural resources issues, science and research. In addition to my primary beat, I cover east county communities and do occasional features. I produce live content for print and web, post regularly to social media, and collaborate closely with newsroom photographers and editors. I also record short video clips and occasionally create charts to help illustrate stories.
